Final Round Preview
Come this Sunday, the 2009 Gridiron Queensland regular season will be finished. Claiming the minor premierships are the Senior Gold Coast Stingrays and the Junior Eastside ravens. Unfortunately this weekend will be the last game of the season for the Spartans senior team as they have failed amass enough competition points to claim a playoff seed. On the other hand, The Spartans junior team (18 and under) have made a late season push for the fourth playoff seed in their maiden year as a club.
TRAINING CHANGE
From now on, training will be on Tuesday 630 to 900 and Thursday 630 to 830 (if you are only able to make one session, make it Tuesday. we need to train as a whole team)
Kitted training starts soon
After gaining some assistance from GQ the Spartans are now in a position to start training with equipment in the next week or two.
this is dependent on players finishing to pay their fees.
Equipment arrives
Last night club coaches were contacted by Gridiron Queensland to let them know that the long awaited container is due to arrive today.

Gridiron hits the sunshine coast
After nearly nine months gridiron has finally made its way to the coast. its not the first time a team has been put together on the coast with several other teams having tried before but been unable to get things going.
We approached the coaches at the Spartans and asked "why will the Spartans be any different?"
