Injury strikes spartans early

Posted by spartan news team on 12 June 2009 | 1 Comments

Spartan running back Luke Turner is out for the up coming season.

The former North side rhinos running back who performed well in only a handful of appearances in last season for the team, may not be in the line up for the Spartans this year.
Unfortunately Turner injured his knee last year and was advised to have surgery to repair it. After the operation turner was in high spirits and focusing on helping his team prepare for the upcoming season.

" Luke will be missed if he is unable to play this season but he understands his position and is really up beat about things. he still comes training when he can and has helped out in other areas. his continued support of the team even though he is unlikely to play is a shining example of the dedication that the players have to this team."

With a serious injury this early in the season we cant help wondering if this will have a negative effect on the team as they prepare for the upcoming season.
