Come this Sunday, the 2009 Gridiron Queensland regular season will be finished. Claiming the minor premierships are the Senior Gold Coast Stingrays and the Junior Eastside ravens. Unfortunately this weekend will be the last game of the season for the Spartans senior team as they have failed amass enough competition points to claim a playoff seed. On the other hand, The Spartans junior team (18 and under) have made a late season push for the fourth playoff seed in their maiden year as a club.

This coming Weekend both Spartans teams are playing in Wacol. The junior game is at 12 noon against the winless Kenmore Bears with the seniors playing at 7pm against the 2nd place Ravens team. With the senior team looking to end their season on a high the junior team is on the other end of the spectrum looking to gain momentum heading into the playoffs.
